Sam Scoops!

Mayor Sam pulled a major scoop on all the blogs today in being the first to report 1) The arrest of Hal Netkin and 2) The decision by Netkin's favorite State Senator Gil Cedillo to not seek the 14th Council District seat being vacated by Antonio Villaraigosa.

The Mayor was a good 1-3 hours ahead of that big blog that thinks it knows everything, but is mostly obsessed with books only Warren Beatty reads and finding ways to intellectually add soft porn to his site.

As well, he failed to tell all of the story on Netkin's arrest. Yea, Hal supposedly tried to drive in to the crowd (though police decided not to charge him for anything) but a bunch of juvenile delinquents attacked his vehicle and damaged it.

Anyway, its good to be on top of the news as it happens. C'mon Kevin - at least give Mayor Sam some props when you report his stories. He does the same for you!

What lame ass stories you scooped! Please why haven't you posted the biggest story being e-mailed citywide in the LA WEEKLY

MAY 27 - JUNE 2, 2005
LA’s Underground Power Broker
The name Vignali receded into L.A. history after the “Pardongate” scandal of 2001, but questions remain about drug-dealing son Carlos and his real estate magnate father, Horacio, who just might be pulling the strings in the remaking of downtown L.A.

Mayor Sam..I posted before you that Mustang was misinformed on a major issue in the CD14 race. Gil decided last week not to run and it has been common knowledge since last Thursday - one week ago. Your brother should be giving you these "scoops" sooner.

Linking to a newspaper's story about something and calling that a "scoop" is about as lame as the people who feel the need to make first posts that just say "FIRST!"

That is to say, very very lame.
