Bratton Endorses Alex Padilla
LAPD Chief William Bratton has endorsed Council President Alex Padilla in his battle against Assemblywoman Cindy Montanez in the Democratic race for the 20th State Senate seat currently occupied by termed out Richard Alarcon.Blog away dum dums.

You could but VILLARAIGOSA would be in front and in the way, and if Bratton pushes him off like Kerry did, he would be labeled as a racist.

Not a big surprise... Padilla obviously controls Bratton's budget... the interesting thing is that padilla apears to be scared enough to releas this 9 months before the electon. Montanez getting the sheriff's deputies, professional police officers among others forced his hand
I want to read the statement itself with Bratton's words. I DON'T BELIEVE THIS FOR ONE SECOND. BRATTON NEVER CAME OUT FOR HAHN OPENLY. LAPD CAN'T BE POLITICAL STRAIGHT OUT..I'VE HEARD THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE.

Think about WHY he's on the commission or any one with a fault or problem with something such as Valerie Velasco and the Airport, and (Her name slips my mind) The Lawyer who filed a suit in behalf of the ACLU about Homeless now siting on the Panel about Homelessness and David Freeman for the Port.
This is all a big ploy by Villaraigosa to have those wild cards that will ALWAYS cause strife and turnoil, so that he'll always come out like the Hero for those Press Trolls, yet to you and me we won't see ANYTHING done in his term because of these people, so we can blame them BUT not Him. These folks are his political insurance "scapegoats"
Yeah, but Velasco makes the commission meetings more entertaining since she obviously has no clue what she's doing! Then there's Sylvia Patsouras - watch 35! Why pick based on real ability to run the airport when you can just pick based on payback.

I hear Padilla is telling everyone that Cindy is going to pull out of the race in January. That's why people are actually endorsing him. Who is the major going with???

Seems to me that Alex has been caught on the defensive. The announcements of his endorsements are to make for up for deficits in his candicacy.
This week he announces a police chief, since every major law enforcement association/group is going with Ms Montanez.
A while back he announces women, (none of them are from the actual 20th Senate) because women voters out # male voters by almost 20%. He hires Boxer's ex-chief of staff & her consulting group..after Cindy does a mild blurb on the gender demographics of the 20th. What's next, is Alex Padilla going to run as a woman? to make up for this disadvantage?

If the chief is so sure that Padilla is going to win the senate, then who does he think will replace Padilla?! If Cindy gets beat, she will be the next city council member in CD 7. Why piss her off chief? It's better to dual endorse chief.
Just by comparing Alex's city page to Cindy's assembly page, one can see who's the empty suit.

TRUST ME CHIEF BRATTON NO WAY ENDORSED PADILLA. NO ONE HAS YET POSTED THE PRESS RELEASE OR ANY EVIDENCE OF IT. REMEMBER BRATTON CALLING CITY COUNCIL A BUNCH OF LOONEY TOONS. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH HIM.

Oh also Mayor Frank, the reason why he has those negative comments is because he's not doing things right. Such as stand for taxpayers and not bankrupt the city.
If he had any backbone, I wouldn't be complaining right now. I would compliment him, I'm a level headed and rational guy.
But I have this stupid thing I do, it's called Thinking and Forming my own opinion based on the facts.
