What Antonio Does Not Want his Staff to Read

Well, simply put, it would be us. Mayor Sam's Sister City

The rumors started picking up steam here. Until then, we wrote it off as banter. But upon viewing the hit counts for the day, there was a definite drop that coincidentally coincided with the alledged block in place.

So, we investigated. Look what we found...

After contacting 5 staffers in the Mayor's office, 2 in CD 14 offices, and multiple e-mails from various non-anonymous sources, we have come to find out that there is a block to Mayor Sam's Sister City put in place by ITA in those offices. ITA would not do this randomly. They would have to do this at the direction of the office itself. It all started on or about September 8. My guess is they screwed up that action for those two offices and blocked all of city hall by mistake, causing the flurry of comments and e-mails to us. Eventually they figured it out and got only those specific offices blocked.

Are other offices blocked as well? I'm guessing Weiss probably has the order in place as well, as god knows he can't take a shit without seeing what Antonio is up too, and most likely copied the order. The other offices actually seem receptive to the positive press their pet projects receive on occasion.

As for the action itself, we have to wonder. Let's think... CD 14... Mayor's Office.... I think you get the hint. So for all of you who think I have my head up AV's ass (Archie Bunker - this goes for you in particular), note that we are actually getting censored by the man himself. He hates this blog more so than just about anyone.

Next Steps? We aren't sure yet. But at least I have a smile on my face knowing that we are getting through to the intended audience. When faced with the tough realities of a situation, some people take the challenge head on, fix their errors, and move on. Others bury their head in the sand. I think we know our Mayor's tendency based on his response.

Good for you Mayor Sam. You will be the talk of the city today. We've been saying all along Antonio has his supporters hate anything negative being said about him and there is no other control freak around than AV himself. The positive in all this is that you still have US..

Being 'censored by the Mayor' really doesn't mean anything. This information is nothing but an empty press release to get the non-thinkers to say: Oh ok, I'll stop being critical.

What this also says is that our Mayor Tony Montanta, oh damn I mean Antonio Villaraigosa has VERY VERY thin skin. A very bad sign for a man who says he's a leader and coalition builder.

The great leaders who he inaccurately compared himself to; LaGuardia, Bradley and Richard J Daley had to take hits and very bad criticism from all sides, but they took it and used to their advantage rather than bury their heads in the sand as you have suggested.

Mayor Frank all this is, is a bullshit ploy to gain some confidence after all the negative posts that Tony Montanta, damn I have to stop that, Antonio Villaraigosa has gotten the last few days. You are still his Propoganda director because you added the other site, to distance yourselves from this blog.

I don't have my head stuck in my ass, like Mayor Frank have suggested, I see reality and political schemes loud and clear my friend and that is something you guys can't handle.

City workers could, of course, read political blogs on their own time, at home. When their at the office, they should focus on their job: getting our mayor more photo-ops and magazine covers; and raising taxes. The mayor's billlion-dollar bond proposal is a good start, but it's going to take more than that to extinguish all disposable income in this city.

Mayor Frank, Do you really think folks are that naive? The name MS2 and the fact their are no posts that are critical of the mayor is making me to believe otherwise. I mean Hillary Clinton is distancing herself from the Liberal yahoos for her presidential run just enough time to give credability.

What is also a dead giveaway is the timing that a special election is just 2 weeks away, clear off enough clutter so that folks see the essence of pro Villaraigosa and Huizar fliers and possibly change their votes.

I also see to notice that are events for your boy Jose Huizar on their, but none for Pacheco or the other CD14 candidates.

Maybe I am crazy and my vision is getting fuzzy in my old years. maybe my years in Law and working as a private investigator are coming into "shell shock"

Mayor Sam, maybe do a bit more digging and asking around before you write a post. In fact the mayor sam website has been blocked in city hall almost since the time you began, back in the bad old days of the Hahn administration.

However this block was pretty poor. If you attempted to type in or link to http://mayorsam.blogspot.com/ then a "site forbidden" page would pop up. But if you then mannually typed "www" instead of "http" as the lead into the web address you could always get in.

So much for the conspiracy.

I believe the response would be great. Latinos are fundamentally more socially conservative than your typical run of the line Democrat. The Democratic elected leaders in East L.A. haven't accomplished much - drop out rate is still the same, crime rate hasn't changed, economic opportunities are nonexistent - unless your connected, and in thirty years all Democratic elected leaders have accompished is giving East L.A. one black eye after another. Alatorre failing court ordred drug tests, Mike Hernandez being busted on camera buying cocaine, Gloria Molina looking for anyway to skirt the law to help her and her husband, the list goes on and on. And now Fabian Nunez is the champion of gay marriage, let's see how this sells in East L.A..

The Democratic Party and their selected - not elected - leaders like Antonio Villaraigosa have held East L.A. captive for much too long. I bet a well organized, well funded Republican drive would finish off these incompetent morons and pave the way for new much needed leadership in this Latino community.

PLEASE NOTE that this "legal?" campaign sign that was fodder for bashing AV's least favorite D14 candidate was on ROAD WORK SITE BLOCKING HEAVY TRAFFIC FLOW on a major Northeast L.A. thoroughfare.

The mayor can't even get his ROAD WORK BAN to work is his OWN former district? A MILE from his former residence??

THAT is political impotency defined!

(Will someone with connections to our city-hall-under-siege please run an MS BLOG airlift over the GREAT WALL OF HYPERSENSITIVY and see that someone in the mayor's office gets the news that the road work ban is a JOKE.) It hardly matters if road crews aren't actually WORKING on major streets, if they have them ALL dug up, the rigs are parked in the middle of the street 24/7, and traffic is still having to slog through on only ONE LANE.

Reading Mayor Sam does not move a project closer to completion; it does not get constituent issues resolved' it does not promote public policy.

What really is sad lamebrains is this: Mayor Villaraigosa used the power of his office to stop people from contributing to Pacheco's campaign. Huizar has absolutely nothing to feel good about. His money comes courtesy of builders looking for school building contracts should Huizar lose to Pacheco. Huizar's endorsements come courtesy of the mayor. Let's be honest - Pat McOsker doesn't know Huizar from yellow fever ( I am very disappointed in you Pat, after what Pacheco did for the extra man and the uniforms!)yet his United Firefighters endorses the LAUSD school board member over a councilmember who gave Pat his first victory when assuming the presidency of the union. And, several big donors have complained about the pressure put on them to not give to Pacheco. No, Jose shouldn't be feeling good about himself.

And if Huizar, with all his money, all his endorsements and the mayor's support, doesn't finish Pacheco off in the primary, - well, Jose, you might as well forget the run-off and drop out of the race.

11:00pm Agree. Mayor Villaraigosa is now spending his time meeting with business owners in CD14 subtly threatening them as he did during mayoral campaign to vote give and support to Jose. Like I said months ago this CD14 race is FIXED BY ANTONIO. Where is the media on this? Where is Jose's manhood? Amazing how corrupt CD14 election is and yet no one has the guts to report the true facts.

There are visible Pacheco signs in businesses.

That may be true, but this might payoff in Pacheco's favor because like in the Mayoral Election, the Union Leadership endorsed Hahn, but basically hung the man out to dry because all of the Union workers voted and supported Villaraigosa.

Pacheco may have the same chance if the workers live in CD14 or have friends/family in CD14 that they can tell via word of mouth.

Nick's support is drying up. No one believes in him and his base is dwindling. He can't get volunteers to walk while the unions are coming out big the next couple of weekends for Jose.
