Six Council Members STILL Don't Get It!

But since 10 votes were needed to reinstate the tentative settlement, dog food guy has to try to pitch it to a jury. Good luck with that!

ADDENDUM:
Each lawsuit comprises two components: liability and damages. The former deals with whether the defendant has to pay anything; the latter deals with the amount.

Assume for the sake of argument he somehow prevails on the issue of liability. In other words, assume he dupes a jury into believing he's entitled to compensation. Unless the City has exceptionally horrid trial attorneys handling this case, there is just no way in Hell this guy gets anywhere near $2.7 million in damages. It's DOG FOOD, not lung cancer.

Analysis says . . .

City Council never really had any intention of trying to override the A-Veto. Certain council members just needed cover in order to go back and say "we tried" . . . all performance art and vote counting.

Hahn, Perry, Wesson, and Parks . . . large African American populations in their districts to "deliver" to.

Garcetti . . . large middle-class, non-limousine liberal constituency, had to be on the "progressive" team in order to go home.

LaBonge . . . (had the "memo" upside down), Oops, was supposed to vote NO.

Most of the others that voted for the settlement the first time had to switch, in order to keep the screamers back home at bay, and, it "is" an election season.

Red Flag Day

What was the cost of the flyers left on vehicles today?

Flyers were printed on HIGH QUALITY PAPER. How much was the cost? What about using recycled paper?

Flyer was from LAFD, LADOT and city of LA 311

Ok can someone post how they all voted so John & Ken can tell people who to send more dog food to.

It just goes to show a voice can turn things around. Thanks Zine for your leadership. I normally don't support things he's done but this time he made up for it for a lot of tax payers in this city.

You know, watching Zine over the past few months he has actually been one of the most responsible members of the Council. He has not felt compeled to go along with the crowd and has often had well thought out positions. Too bad so many members vote out of bind allegaince either to labor (Hahn/Reyes/Wesson/Perry to name a few) or the Mayor (c'mon Weiss you are being such an OBVIOUS brown nose) without any independent thought happening at all. I used to think differently of Zine, but I'm actually impressed with him lately.

Wait until the other LAFD lawsuits make the news.

Let's see Billy Bamattre explain everything else that's going on at his department.

That is, if he's still around....

Fire chief Bamatree should be fired immediately for ruining the good name of the department. How much more bad press can the good firefighters take? Bamatree doesn't stand up for his troops and he will do anything to hold on to his job - for what? For his future political gain. Disgusting.

It's amazing how self-aggrandizing the City Council idiots are when waxing fondly about Alex Padilla, but they made him seem like the fucking Pope!

These idiots were falling over themselves like they saw god. It wasn't god; just Alex Padilla, a decent city councilmember who picks and chooses the easily solvable problems.

That having been said, it's clear that the City Council and Delga-dildo have to be replaced with people who aren't going to lie to the voters about term limits, etc.

There's not a good one of them. They are all corrupt. We need fresh and honest people in City Council and the City Attorney's office.

And for once, Villa La Raza did the right thing. He'll lose the next mayoral election though, because it's very clear that he's the dopiest of them all.

So, "Mighty Dog" Pierce thought the City was going to be his "Gravy Train", especially after the first Council voted for him to "Come And Get It!" Instead, he has to settle for "Kibbles and Bits." I must say, his lawyer doesn't seem to have much of a "Pedigree", and I don't think Pierce made a "Sensible Choice" regarding a lawyer! "Diamond" girl should have spent more time polishing her "Halo."

In my opinion, Pierce needs to get "Back To Basics"; to be "Precise," he needs to get back to his "Natural Balance" to maintain his "Wellness." At this juncture, he's definitely not a "Star Pro" as befits a true "Professional"!

They both were probably thinking that soon they were going to be counting their "Greenies," instead, Council voted a taxpayer "Triumph" by upholding AV's only "Sensible Choice" veto.

Watching these idiots at city council demanding the 2.7 mil settlement stand was sad. And hearing his wife talk about their 11 year old daughter on the school bus, which was playing the John and Ken show on the radio, and how she was hurt by her classmates her made fun of her father...excuse me, prove the bus driver was listening to the show with the all the kids on the bus...they can't...so let's prosecute her father for all the pranks he pulled on other firefighters...then prosecute her mother for the lies she told about the daughter's episode on the bus...let's send the shake down artists a BIG MESSAGE...NO MONEY FOR LIARS!

I lost track of Billy Bamatree. I believe this is the same person who attended St. Bernadettes Catholic elementary school on Marlton Street in Los Angeles. If it is, he was the nicest and most respecful student in the classroom. He was bright, compassionate and was a friend to everyone throughtout our years in school. I hope this is the same person who I attended school with in Los Angeles. I live in Thousand Oaks and I know who Andrew Fox is.... integrity???
