Clean Sweep LA's Embarrassment and Potential Downfall

Walter's rant in this clip starts off a bit slow, but this "Clean Sweep LA" board of director soon gets right to his paranoid and divisive point.

Unfortunately, CSLA will face many unnecessary obstacles, and questions as to their motives, as long as Walter Moore is associated with this campaign.

C'mon Ron, CSLA can do better than this.

Walter's is correct, the US has been taken over by the browns, they are taking our jobs and depleting our ability to operate. They must all go!

"Wherever there is a Mexican, there is Mexico", eh?
Sounds like a hostile threat of takeover to me.

That must be what Saroyan was talking about when he said
"For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia."

...and we all know how those Mexicans and Armenians are waging war against America. I'm glad you were there to bring it to our attention!

Why else would their hardest working and most well-educated citizens be swarming our country?I
t's not like there's any opportunity here for them that isn't already being taken advantage of by real Americans!

Oh wait, the "real Americans" have been exiled to reservations so they can suffer from disproportionate levels of disease, alcoholism, and crime. Then what does that make Walter Moore's real (white) Americans? Oh, right... "Illegals"

Take your paranoid, xenophobic rant to Alaska. As a matter of fact, take your like-minded cronies with you- We'll even let you drill for oil up there!

Whaddya say, Walt? Do we have a deal?

Who else is stepping up Joe B.? Walter Moore has done more than anyone else in this city to expose the criminal and unethical behavior of the majority of our politicians. So if I have to make a choice between the status quo or Walter Moore, I'm going with Walter. I don't agree with every single thing he says, but at least he is actively trying to make this failure of a city a better place.

Facts are facts, folks. Stop slandering people who expose and discuss the facts by calling the racists. Our city and country are suffering from massive ILLEGAL immigration, that is an indisputable FACT. And, the hard-working, tax-paying, law-abiding citizens are getting screwed by all of this corruption. Thank God for people like Walter Moore, Ron Kaye, Kevin James, et al, for all of their time and dedication in exposing the corruption, and for coming up with solutions to flush the cesspool of politicians in office.
Get a life, you are a loser for posting such a pathetic and deceptive article. Shame on you, you are the real embarrassment, not Walter. An apology from you is in order.

Ron Kaye's been deleting comments lately - including those that are not in the least offensive or rude against anyone, just make cogent arguments FOR something or someone on "the other side" - when someone or a "movement" can't handle different views like this it shows they're lost. When you can't make intelligent argument and have to not just belittle but CENSOR the other side, you've got a dictatorship. It shows THEIR FEAR.

The only problem I have is that Ron told me he "hates" Walter. I asked him why and he said because Moore is a racist. It wasn't up for debate in Ron's opinion. So why did Ron invite him to speak if he publicly deemed Moore a racist?

Has it really come down to a black and white world? That people can't agree to disagree while still working for a larger, common goal?

Frankly, I am disappointed that Joe B. had to make the effort to post the clip with an intent to discourage people from believing that Clean Sweep could, in fact, make a significant change in Los Angeles, all for the better.

Instead, Joe, you have allowed yourself to be used by the very people you have fought against in your community - people who want business as usual in Los Angeles and not reform.

Come on, man, see the big picture at play here. And, hold on to it.

How embarrassing, Joe B., that you couldn't come up with anything more novel than that old clip.

Are you an American? Where is your sense of patriotism? And what do you have to offer besides trying to tear other people down?

Can someone tell me, Joe B's claim to fame other than stopping Home Depot in ST? It is people like him who are so tunnel visioned that they would destroy the greater good for their own personal agenda. I don't care if Walter Moore appealed to the anti-immigration fervor, running as he was against a latino, asshole Mayor. Since then, he has done more other than Ron K in exposing the filth of City Hall. As a minority, as far as I'm concerned, Walter has redeemed himself, and I value what he is doing now.

JoeB is actually right on this issue. You can't have an organization trying to pull all of Los Angeles together when you have a known outspoken racist as a board of director for the group. Walter brings division to CleanSweepLA and has already tainted their message. Many Latinos that might have participated (and if CleanSweepLA doesn't think they need Latinos, they're stupider than I thought) are turned off by Walter Moore's presence and title as board of director. Also, many in LA recall how Walter used the Shaw family shamefully in his quest to become Mayor. Thank you JoeB for not letting this racist divider get away with another con job on LA Voters and those working to improve our city.

The people calling more names because they supposedly care so much about Ron's organization might have more credibility if they called Ron's organization by its actual name, don't you think?

It's not "Clean Sweep LA."

And this isn't about helping "Clean Sweep LA." It's about trying to smear Moore.

4:01, Joe B has also stopped a Home Depot in Thousand Oaks and is involved locally on planning issues in S-T. Abby Diamond, his associate in the STA has written numerous legal papers defending the community specific plan and the STA has many successful actions under their belt. Abby also wrote legislation for Ventura that blocked an unwanted Wal-Mart store from opening. How do I know this? I'm a longtime supporter of the STA.

Here's the thing with all of this. I won't call Walter a racist because that's a major accusation. I will call Walter ignorant for his past comments on the Hispanic culture in LA realizing that the vast population of Latinos in LA are here legally (or many, many, many are multi-generational Americans) and like any other immigrant group in American history they bring their culture and we absorb it. That is a wonderful thing and there is nothing wrong with novelas or tauerias.

That being said all of the stuff Walter is getting a knock for is old news. Everyone knew and few (other than myself and Debbie Lopez) even brought it to light.

The suspicious thing is that all of a sudden now, as Clean Sweep gains speed and has had some very successful events Trujillo comes out with this. Trujillo also has personal problems with Ron Kaye.

If Mike Trujillo and Antonio Villaraigosa truly had issues with Walter's comments (which he made when he was RUNNING AGAINST VILLARAIGOSA) they should have made the point at that time. I know I did.

The fact it's coming up now is intellectually dishonest and shady on the Mayor's part.

Please get the facts straight if you are going to refer to us

"LA CLEAN SWEEP" - had a very successful public event on Sunday with training sessions for volunteer community activists and potential candidates for city council. We had a packed house

By the way, Walter Moore wasn't even in attendance.

We have a breakfast meeting coming up this Sunday, 10 am, at Denny's Restaurant on San Ferando and Fletcher Dr. in Glassell Park. Everyone is invited to come and see what we are all about. You will learn that our goal is to bring transparency and accountability back to city hall as well as our government services in general.
