Moore: Cardenas And Huizar Will Lose In March 2011 Election

Details below the fold

Walter Moore is predicting defeat for Council Members Jose Huizar and Tony Cardenas. Moore crunches some numbers and declares:

They will lose because: a) they and the rest of the Spring Street Gang have done such a terrible job of running the City that the local media and even voters have started paying attention; and b) they were elected by almost trivial margins.

Moore says that even if your CM has done some favors for you they're still rotten and you have to toss them out for the good of the whole City.  Not sure how that will sit at least in CD2 where Paul Krekorian is the one Councilman who receives rave reviews from his constituents.

Walter also wants to see the entire lot of Citywide elected officials gone.  Except Carmen.

Rightwing Republican Clowns always stick together: Walter Moore - David Berger/ Rumpole - Carmen and Cooley.

Except for the last name whose their puppetmaster/ armtwister In Chief, they're all hacks with no experience in civic life who have either proved blowhard, egomaniac incompetents who are over their heads, or they WOULD if gawd forbid granted a win. MOORE you are the one who will NEVER WIN! You've even lost the Teabaggers and most of the Kaye Clean Sweep!

As for Cooley he's been indicted by a Superior Court judge for such blatant retribution, persecution and political machinations in the whole DA's office, by a Republican judge, that he couldn't even try to deny the facts of the case.

So his PR Spinners the L A Slimes just bury the whole thing, like they did numerous serious screw-ups before his last election.

Funny how even Zine the Two-Faced, opportunistic, uneducated buffoon who like Carmen the Clown used Zuma Dogg to spread his lies, is no longer good enough for Walter.

Funny how he and the other Clown Phil, who's a literal clown at parties, if reports are true, are at odds too because Walter thinks he's too good for the likes of him and the half-homeless Ecnomist of Venice.

NOONE cares what Walter thinks.

If he supports someone they'll lose so it would be Huizar and Cardenas' fondest hope.

Higby goes around trashing walter for years, until he needs weekend content.

Shows you that you can't really truts what Higby says. Unless he is finally coming around to realize that Walter is smart. Not perfect, but has far more insight than Higboat

Way to come to grips with the statistics!
After all, name-calling is much easier than actual reasoning.

Rightwing? Excuse me, but I don't recall the meeting where progressives decided to tax single working mothers to fund subsidies for billionaire developers. When was that, exactly?

One can almost smell the fear from left wingers as the democrats face the most humiliating drubbing they've had since that loser Carter was in the White House. In the November elections, anyone with a 'D' is vulnerable to defeat by the Moore war wagon.

As if it were not bad enough for Dems, last night's statement by Obama in support of building a shrine to the memory of the 9-11 murderers at ground zero, put the issue beyond doubt. That, plus the First Lady's $357k junket to Spain says all that needs to be said about how out of touch with reality the Dems have become. It's so bad that even life time Democrats were shocked at Obama's statement and Michelle's largesse, and are abandoning Obama in droves.

All that Obama now needs to do as a further supplication to the axis of evil, is to start using that middle name. It would be as fitting a concession to the terrorists as bowing to foreign sovereigns.

This all bodes well for Walter Moore's predictions and it's not only most likely Cadenas and Huizar will not lust lose, but they will lose big.

Cooley looks like a shoe in to the AG's Office. He's done a masterful job of placing the right people in the right place to secure victory, but even if he does nothing more, leaving it to the politically suicidal antics of the Obama administration is his best campaign strategy.

I would be interested to know WHO is running in CD 14 that would do a better job.

Reading about Rudy on Yelp ( Marty's Club ) he sounds like a bigger douche than the CM's we already have.

So who is there to support?

When are they going to teach LAUSD classes in Spanish? It just doesn't make sense to teach classes in a language the bulk of students and parents don't speak.

2:49PM, get a life! When will you get over the fact that the voters are sick and tired of your phony baloney photo-op empty heads?

Walter Moore is 100% right about Cardenas and Huizar, they won their seats by the narrowest of margins and it won't take much to unseat them, especially now when voters are increasingly aware of the way the Spring Street Gang have sold us out.

The latest antics of the President are nothing short of bizarre and while I don't agree that Democrats are running away from the party, I do think they will be so disenchanted that they will stay at home in November, rather than rubber stamp any Democrat.

However, displeasure at the Obama administration has galvanized Republicans and decline to states, and they are the ones who will most likely carry the day in November.

For all your name calling and pathetic bleating, the writing is on the wall for the Spring Street Gang, and not a moment too soon.

I was driving down the street today and saw what I thought was a group of people that just escaped in a jailbreak. But it was just a crowded LA bus stop.

I don't know why you complain about Councilman Jose Huizar. I heard that once a year he attends a BBQ in the community filled with real people from the area! And his new $50,000 SUV is a hybrid because he thinks green. He gives back.

I'm voting for Tony Cardenas. Because his family members are in the real estate business. So when I have a project I need fast track approval, I go to one of his relatives for the property. And the zoning and plans are fast tracked through Tony's office.

Not vote for Jose Huizar? Are you crazy? Don't you know how many parades he dedicates himself to riding in each year on his own time? Sometimes he even hangs out exclusive night clubs so people who aren't up during the day can have access to him, too. He's committed to his constituents. And not just the ones in Eagle Rock and more affluent areas of the district. He doesn't care whether people in Boyle Heights and El Sereno are less likely to vote than those in the more affluent areas. As long as he's helping people.

Why didn't anybody respond to the poster who asked the question, "If not Huizar, then who?"

You just go off on the Spring Street gang.

9:55p-Does the Spring Street gang not merit "going off on?" If this were a football team, you would be screaming for players to be traded along with a new coach. Anyone have anything good to say about Huizar who isn't getting paid to do so?

Why did the mayor take a vacation in Iceland? Seems like a strange tourist destination. Did he visit with any Icelandic government officials and discuss L.A. City investments? Was he there trying to clean up spilled city milk. But to do so on an official business trip might call too much attention to the problem. Was the mayor laughed out of the country at his request to have the government give back the money he lost in the municipal derivatives casino?
