Political Snow Jobs for a Chilly Saturday

If this was 2011, one could almost hear Mayor Antonio Villar proclaiming himself "the snowplow king".
Great chillin Saturday morning to all where we take advantage of this rare day of historic snowfall levels to highlight the "dubious political snow jobs" that merit exposure. But morphing into "weather geek mode" momentary, we should point out that the picture above was taken between January 9-11, 1949 which was officially the last measurable snowfall in Downtown Los Angeles. If this were to happen today, one wonders how Mayor Antonio Villar would take political advantage of this rare occurrence
Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council Executive Board Members Jose Aguilar and Margo Amador speak out against HACLA Commissioner Maria Del Angel.
One of the biggest political snow jobs is the on-going corruption within the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA). The names, Victor Taracena, Gustavo Valdivia, Donald SmithMaria Del Angel, and current HACLA CEO Rudy Montiel, have all been well documented in various media outlets. Some have even speculated recently that an "current public official" may be under investigation with links to one or more of the above-mentioned names. Regardless, some are now calling upon HACLA Commissioner Maria Del Angel and the rest of the HACLA commissioner to resign.

More political snow jobs via LACCD, Mayor Villar, Sierra Club, VICA and LA Chamber of Commerce after the blogging leap.
** The political snow job that is the Los Angeles Community College District $6 Billion Bond Scandal, is getting major investigated coverage from the Los Angeles Times. The Van De Kamp Coalition Miki Jackson reports via Ron Kaye, that many in the LACCD Chain of Command, are dreading this Times investigated series.

** The Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and the Valley Industry & Commerce Association (VICA) throw fluffy snowballs in the direction of "Governor Moonbeam II" and once again give their respective business interests another snow job in backing Moonbeam II's tax hikes.

** Kudos again to DWP Human Resources Director and Sierra Club Los Angeles County Co Political Director Susana Reyes for securing the endorsement of your fellow aging green lefties for Councilman Jose Huizar. I would have to agree to a councilperson who voted to support the massive Las Lomas Project, resigned Open Space protection for the former Lopez Canyon Landfill, voted yes to approve the expansion of the Playa Vista Development and takes thousands from Big Oil, is worthy of the Democratic Sierra Club Endorsement.

** Mayor Antonio Villar is trying to snow job neighbors next to his city-provided housing by proposing to build a six-foot wall around the perimeter of Getty House. I say raise 14 feet, install guard towers and rename the place "Getty Correctional Facility for the Politically Corrupt".

Your thoughts..............

Speaking of snow jobs...

I heard in CD 6, there is a vacant address that is perfect to have people vote under.

Kind of dumb, though. All the Norwalk Registrar Office has to do is check the addresses of people who voted for the winner in Council District 6 and see how many of them are registered to the same vacant address.

Gustavo Valdivia is one of Huizar's friends under investigation by the FBI.

He has worked as his bag man for years.

Almost no comments again - Huizar boosters are working to get the vote out, even though his re-election is ensured.

And. . . nothing Rid Splurt says anymore matters, even the libelous, prosecutable suggestions that Huizar is under "FBI" investigation; a damnable outright lie... because nothing HERE matters.

The BIGGEST, dirtiest snow job of course was the Times handjob endorsement of Rudy Rich, who will return us to the "glory" days of the incredibly (actually) CORRUPT Richard Alatorre.

For that insult alone, that fishwrap should be banned from Eastside distribution.

Pravda provided better news coverage.

Does Valdivia's wife still work for Cardenas? Did she ever get that English language down or does her min-skirt still suffice?

I am so tired of the Sierra Club endorsement committee of three wishy-washy people who can be influenced by anyone that I've dropped my membership. They endorse candidates who have raped the land here.

Sierra Club is worthless.

When is someone going to go in and actually clean up HACLA once and for all? From Don Smith right on up to today, their entire executive staff has been complicit in wrongdoing. The Board of Commissioners is nothing more than puppets. Bell, hell! HACLA makes the city of Bell look like Mayberry RFD. I hear that some of the old HACLA police detectives were gathering evidence of wrongdoing at HACLA, which led to that police department being disbanded.
