Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Black Friday

As Americans hit the malls in search of Black Friday deals, eight City of Los Angeles Department Heads/General Managers, are the recipients of 3-5% Pay Raises via the kindness/evaluation of Mayor Eric Garcetti.
The Hash Tag #Raise The Wage LA has a special, prolific meaning for some of Mayor Garcetti's Department Heads.
The City of Los Angeles Coalition of Unions were left off of Mayor Garcetti's Pay Raise Gift Card List.
With Thanksgiving 2014 a digestive episode in the past, its now officially the Season of Giving and Mayor Garcetti could not wait to today's edition of Black Friday in blessing seven certain Department Heads with "Pay Raise Gift Cards" as the Daily News reports .......
Steve Reneker, general manager of the technology department, is getting a three percent raise, and will see his salary increase from $228,385 to $235,234. General Services department head Tony Royster is getting a five percent raise, and his salary will bump to $220,451. General managers from the following departments are also getting raises: Animal Services; Bureau of Street Lighting; Department of Neighborhood Empowerment; Bureau of Contract Administration; Los Angeles Public Library; Department of Aging; and the Bureau of Sanitation.
Meanwhile, the Coalition of Unions can look forward to below, as advise by Miguel Santana.
** LAPD Chief Charlie Beck was in the Holiday Mood and some 90-plus Ferguson Protesters were able to enjoy Thanksgiving with their communal families. Thus, avoiding an opportunity to enjoy a long, holiday weekend lock up.
Downtown News Jon Regardie presents "Happy Mayoral #Thanksgiving".
Pilgrim Garcetti via the Downtown News.
** Downtown News Editor and "Scribe of Wit" Jon Regardie keyboards the follow pertaining to the mystical Second Annual Mayor Garcetti Thanksgiving gathering at City Hall as we excerpt below.
Who sponsored "Happy Mayoral #Thanksgiving?"

The Mayoral #Thanksgiving! will be sponsored by Live Nation, and successfully serving the dinner with turkey and sides will show the world what can be accomplished in Los Angeles. Live Nation, which recently staged the Made in America Festival, will reimburse the city for all costs associated with hosting the event, except for the parts that Live Nation doesn’t reimburse because it’s not written into the contract.

What was on the Menu?

The centerpiece of the back-to-basics dinner will be a humanely treated, 313-pound fair trade turkey named Gulliver who, before sacrificing himself for the Mayoral #Thanksgiving, was adored like King Fowl VI and never once saw a cage. Gulliver enjoyed all the luxuries in life, including straw bedding, hormone-free feed and his own Twitter account, @BirdIsTheWord. Now that he is gone, that account is being managed by Councilman Mitch O’Farrell. Sides will include City Controller Ron Galperin’s famous Big Data Stuffing, City Attorney Mike Feuer’s Problem-Solving Potatoes, and leftovers of Antonio Villaraigosa’s Cranberry Sauce to the Sea. Villaraigosa will not attend the dinner because he’s not invited. Plus, he is probably spending the holiday with Charlie Sheen (#OyVey). Desserts will include a couple council member specialties, among them fresh Tom LaBonge Berries, and Curren Cakes, from Ninth District rep Curren Price. Following the agreement to open the books of the secret DWP training institutes, IBEW union head Brian D’Arcy will deliver a heaping helping of Humble Pie.
......., that was some great Humble Pie.

Happy Bloggin Thanksgiving!!

As the likes of Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee Members Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo", the "Tonto Huevon (with Papi Tony Villar)", "Average Joe" Buscaino and "Pandering Paul" Krekorian partake in Thankful Festivities, we simply want to wish our cyber audience a BLESSED THANKSGIVING
Gobble, Gobble Dammit!!
Political Papi Tony Villar and Mijo Jose "Tonto Huevon" Huizar (with Wife Richelle and daughters), serving the masses at the Los Angeles Mission. ** BTW, as the "Tonto Huevon" touts his giveaway of 1,500 Turkeys, we ponder if he rehired his "Turkey Giveaway Consultant" (paid $27,000 plus) to target the "appropriate voter recipients"?

The Improbable Campaign of 39rd AD Candidate Patty Lopez pulls off the Miracle

In what Political Scientists may label in the future as simply "The Improbable Campaign", an upstart Assembly Candidate, Patty Lopez, pulls off a Northeast San Fernando Valley Miracle in defeating the Incumbent 39th AD Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra by 467 votes..
The smiles of Team Patty Lopez must be more pronounced this afternoon.
** Blogger's note: Please pardon the sports analogy flashback (1980 Miracle on Ice) but many in the Northeast San Fernando Valley this afternoon, have a new found affirmation in miracles (back by committed, hard work) ........, of a political variety. The Improbable Campaign of a First Generation American Immigrant, just became the most pronounced, local political success story in decades, as Patty Lopez, is but a signed validation of election results away from becoming the next 39th Assembly District Representative. As Community Activist David Hernandez reports via Facebook, the final tally of unprocessed 39rd AD ballots, had Lopez increasing her lead to 467 votes over Incumbent Raul Bocanegra. The final tally of the vote, is sure to send shock waves throughout not only the San Fernando Valley, but California, as pundits commit column inches in musing on the root cause of this 1971 Sylmar-like Political Earthquake. Bocanegra, who was being broached as a possible Assembly Speaker, will now have to seek out gainful employment from the likes of CD 7 City Clowncilman Felipe "Mini Padilla" Fuentes (maybe he can ghost write council district proclamations?), or the wife of his Political Consultant Gerry Guzman, CD 6 Clowncilwoman Nury Martinez---Scott Johnson.
The numbers tell the story.
Assemblyman Bocanegra, where were you when the final repudiation from your constituents was made public?
Paraphrasing the great Al Michaels ......., Northeast San Fernando Valley, do you believe in Political Miracles? YES!!

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

Will the pending Reelection Campaign of CD 6 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Nury Martinez, suffer mortal Political Collateral Damage, via the resounding upset of 39th Assembly District Officeholder Raul Bocanegra?
Are solemn political times ahead for CD 6 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Nury Martinez?
Good bloggin morning to everyone within our cyber audience as we remain on 39th Assembly District Upset Watch. Beginning at 1 P.M this afternoon at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder Office in Norwalk, the last remaining 10,000 ballots from the November 4 Elections will be counted and with a minute amount of those coming from the 39 AD, the Improbable Campaign of Patty Lopez will have achieve a Political Miracle against an imploding Political Machine.
To repeat an old political cliche, "Elections have Consequences", and for the Northeast San Fernando Valley Political Machine that includes (or included) California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra, CD 7 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Felipe "Mini Padilla" Fuentes and especially CD 6 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Nury Martinez, the repercussions of the pending Lopez Victory, may have dire consequences.
Clowncilwoman Martinez's husband Gerry Guzman was the lead Campaign Consultant for Assemblyman Bocanegra and will have to live with the repercussions of a election crash and burn, who's blast zone may engulf his wife's chance at reelection in March, 2015.
Already, the enemies (including Convicted Felon Richard AlarCON) of the Padilla/Fuentes/Martinez Machine, are using the Bocanegra Campaign Debacle to rally the masses that supported the Improbable Lopez Victory and fixate them in taking out the former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar-supported LAUSD School Board Member.
** Longtime Civil Rights and LAUSD Activist George Buzzetti fight backs against charges of harassing School Board Member Tamar Galatzan.
Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) California Policy Director and LAUSD Observer George Buzzetti plays audio of alleged telephone calls to School Board Member Tamar Galatzan.
Once you meet longtime Civil Rights and LAUSD Activist George Buzzetti, you would be hard press to forget the distinctive persona that has been a thorn to the entrenched establishment at LAUSD. Buzzetti's proclivities in outing waste, fraud and corruption on Beaudry, may have garner him a form vindictive payback from district officials. Buzzetti was jailed for five days after LAUSD Police asserted that he made a harassing phone call to School Board Member Tamar Galatzan's Office. In the video above, Buzzetti contends (and the audio provides compelling evidence) that it is not him making the comments, that resulted in his imprisonment. We should note that it was Buzzetti who was source of information that implicated District Officials, for their respective roles (including Galatzan) in the IPad Scandal. Thus, there are those who would love to silence Buzzetti once and for all.
** Where and why does LAPD Commissioner and Echo Park Connected Non-Profit El Centro del Pueblo Executive Director Sandra Figueroa-Villa, get the money to donate the maximum contributions to three City Council Campaigns? .
Is LAPD Commissioner and Echo Park Connected Non-Profit Executive Director Sandra Figueroa-Villa dreaming of (or buy) ways to grow her organization contracts?
Supporting the successful mayoral aspirations of Eric Garcetti has been quite lucrative for Echo Park Connected Non-Profit El Centro del Pueblo Executive Director Sandra Figueroa-Villa. First, you get appointed to the Commission charged with overseeing the actions of the LAPD. Second, a Board of Director's daytime employment with a certain CD 1 City Clowncil Central Committee Member (allegedly), gains your organization access to a new service area, despite community opposition. Thus, with friends in the right political places, why not try buying new access for your organization within other areas of the City of Los Angeles? As the contributions records below illustrates, Commissioner Figgueroa-Villa (and associates of her employees relatives in Southeast LA County) are donating money to the likes of Steve Veres for CD 4 Campaign and others, in the quest to buy that access.

Cypress Park Stakeholders protest the Clowncilman Broken Deal Cedillo/El Centro del Pueblo Backroom Deal at the Historic Cypress Park Community Center

Stakeholders within the Cypress Park Community protest the Backroom Deal by CD 1 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo", that gave LAPD Commissioner Sandra Figueroa-Villa's "Echo Park Connected Non-Profit, El Centro del Pueblo", access to the Historic Cypress Park Community Center.
Cypress Park Stakeholders line the sidewalk in front of the Historic Cypress Park Community Center, to protest Clowncilman Broken Deal Cedillo's lack of transparency regarding his Backroom Dealings with LAPD Commissioner Sandra Figueroa-Villa.
** Blogger's Note: While CD 1 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo" was in the Far East as part of Mayor Eric Garcetti's Asia Trade Mission, the first term Clowncilman's growing contempt for community input was leaving its marks on his "political rear end" as Cypress Park Stakeholders staged a protest over his absentee leadership, regarding the future staffing and programming at the Historic Cypress Park Community Center. Without any consultation, as requested multiple times by Cypress Park Stakeholders, "Broken Deal Cedillo" granted access within Historic Facility, to the Echo Park "Connected Non-Profit, El Centro del Pueblo", who's Executive Director is LAPD Commissioner Sandra Figueroa-Villa. Clowncilman Broken Deal Cedillo's backroom dealings with El Centro del Pueblo and Commissioner Figueroa-Villa, have raised ethical concerns, considering potential Conflict of Interest issues involving Clowncilman Broken Deal Cedillo's staff and the Echo Park Connected Non-Profit's ties to "Persons of Interest" involving corruption investigations in Southeast LA County. Recently, in response to community protests, the Cypress Park Neighborhood Council voted to draft a letter to Clowncilman Broken Deal Cedillo, requesting that he facilitate and attend a meeting to hear concerns of Stakeholders. At this time, no response has been forthcoming from the Clowncilman's Office---Scott Johnson.

Friday 39th AD Vote Tally Update: Patty Lopez 22,558, Assemblyman Bocanegra 22,139

The upstart Patty Lopez for Assembly Campaign increases its lead over Incumbent 39th AD Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra to 421 votes in the latest canvass of unprocessed ballots.
From the Facebook Page of David Hernandez.
This is a day of conflicting emotions for the Improbable Campaign of 39th Assembly District Candidate Patty Lopez.

On the campaign front, Lopez has increase her margin of lead over Incumbent Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra to 421 votes with most ballots counted.

But on the personal side, Team Lopez is dealing with the death of her Brother-in-Law.

According to a local Consultant of note, the chance of Assemblyman Bocanegra making up the increase margin of deficit is extremely remote. Since the process of counting the outstanding ballots commenced, Team Lopez has garnered 54% of those votes.

The final certification of the elections results will be forthcoming on November 28, 2014.

Meanwhile, our thoughts and prayers are with the Lopez Family at this time of loss.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Wednesday

The Improbable Campaign of upstart 39th Assembly District Candidate Patty Lopez, edges closer to Victory, as the latest batch of processed Ballots gives it a 235 Vote Lead over Incumbent Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra.
"Team Patty Lopez" at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder. Photo via David Hernandez
Darn, this pending Political Upset smells so good for democracy!
The Improbable Campaign of Patty Lopez has sent shock waves across not only the Northeast San Fernando Valley, but throughout the City of Los Angeles. If Lopez holds on to beat Bocanegra, the first aftershock of this political equivalent of the 1971 Sylmar Earthquake, will be the upcoming CD 6 City Clowncil Central Committee Rematch between current Clowncilwoman Nury Martinez and Cindy Montanez.
With the chance of probability on the same level as this blogger's next use of "Spollcheck", Clowncilwoman Martinez Husband Gerry Guzman's role (G7 Strategy Group, INC.) in the Bocanegra Campaign, is surely to garner some unwanted attention, considering the negative, dismissive tone directed at Team Patty Lopez.

** This is why CD 5 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Paul Koretz has been labeled the reigning "Nanny Spud" within the Horseshoe at 200 Spring Street.
Yawn!! CD 5 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Paul Koretz opposes the Keystone Pipeline.
While the City of Los Angeles faces a looming Budget Shortfall and underfunded Pension Obligations, the reigning "Nanny Spud" of the City Clowncil Central Committee Paul Koretz found quality time for a Photo Op with some of his Democratic Environmental Fellow Travelers, to denounce the mega job-producing Keystone Pipeline. Joining the "Nanny Spud" in this exercise of environmental revisionism, were the Sierra Club's (and DWP Human Resources Director by day) Susana Reyes and SEIU 721 President Bob Schooonover. We are sure out-going Louisiana Democratic Senator Mary Landreiu appreciated the gesture, but then we know how much love the Sierra Club has for "Business Democrats".
** Can we call this a "Home Conversion Cover-up?"
You too can use Public Money to convert your Garage into a Man Cave.
There is a strong probability that a certain, now incarcerated former SEIU 6434 General Manager (Tyrone Freeman), has received a gleeful message from his noted Political Ally LA County Board of Supervisor Mark "Home Renovation-Thomas", on how he beat the rap for using Public Funds in converting his Garage into a personal Man Cave. But the self-styled South LA Political Boss may not want to celebrate too quickly, as it appears that the LA Times is not ready to back down in getting at the root of this latest ethical breach from the Friend of Tyrone.

Morning Briefs on the Women against the Political Machine for Tuesday

With potential candidates for the even number, City of Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee Districts seeking qualifying signatures, the March 2015 Elections may usher in a Female Resurgence at 200 Spring Street and end the reign of Strongman Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson.
Clowncil District Six Antagonists, Incumbent Nury Martinez and Cindy Montanez.
The lovers of a good Political Cat Fight get their dream rematch as former Assemblywoman Cindy Montanez announces her intentions to challenge fellow former San Fernando Politica and current CD Six Clowncilwoman Nury Martinez for a full term come 2015. The money and grass roots advantage will flip flop in this Political Cat Fight Squeal, with Martinez getting assess to Special Interest contributions but countered by Montanez new ability to rally Grass Roots support considering Martinez husband Gerry Guzman employment with embattled Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

We bring you this latest "Hypocritical, Do As I Say, Don't Do As I Done (or are still doing) Political Moment" from the lone Princeton Graduate of the Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee Jose Huizar.
The Public Image of a politician who passes on indulging in the Ice Bucket Challenge (while still donating $100.00) citing drought concerns, is contradicted by a report which documents increase home water usage during these same parched times.
Kudos indeed for the "Tonto Huevon's" latest dubious distinction.

A Bloggin Farewell to an Alledged, Grieving (now Ex) DONE NEA name "Lisette"

As the Department of Neighborhood Council (DONE) and the Union representing its employees, Engineers & Architects Association (EAA), agree on a Grievance Settlement that allows "Council for Councils Volunteers (C4C)" to mentor NC's, the alleged lead NEA grievant, Lisette Covarrubias, leaves DONE today (Friday) for a new job at Metro.
You too, can be a highly-compensated Empower LA Neighborhood Empowerment Advocate (NEA) (such as now former employee Lisette Covarrubias) and enjoy quality leisure time at assigned NC Meetings (especially if your duties DO NOT INCLUDE filing meeting reports).
** Blogger's Note: The following bloggin Friday "Bad News Dump (NAUGHT!)" merits a musical jingle ......., we hate to see you go, we hate to see you go, but what the heck you waiting for, we hate to see you go (NAUGHT!). Pardon the camp song flashback, but with the news that "Disempowerment LA NEA" Lisette Covarrubias, who was the alleged Department NEA that testify on behalf of the Grievance, filed against Council for Councils (C4C) having a role in mentoring Neighborhood Councils with issues, has accepted a new job with Metro (MTA) after today, then many NC Advocates will surely want to sing along. The Settlement between DONE and the Union representing the department grievants (EAA), is a major victory for C4C ......, and DONE GM Grayce Liu. GM Liu (especially with Covarrubias departure) can now hopefully get some fiscal help from Mayor Eric Garcetti in filling vacant positions within the department. Hopefully, the new agreement with C4C will provide the training ground for volunteers to prove themselves worthy of filling the vacant paid positions, while growing a cadre of volunteer action teams that can step in to mentor NCs with issues (like the current incarnation of the LA-32 NC), without subjective, political attachments ......., as exercised by now former "Disempowerment LA NEA Lisette Covarrubias"---Scott Johnson.
Who do I like ......, or dislike (mostly males) on this NC?
Page 1 from the Grievance Settlement between the City of LA/DONE/Council for Councils (winners) and certain employees of the department/EAA/and allegedly Lisette Covarrubias (losers). ** You can read the rest of the Settlement below.

Notes on the 2014 Post Election Scorecard for Wednesday

As President Barack "H" Obama awakes to a better today (for true Freedom-loving Americans), we flashback in time to dedicate a 2008 Campaign Musical Classic, in honor of his role regarding yesterday National Election Outcomes.
Obama gonna change it (Republican control of the Senate), via HOPE run amuck.
Good morning from the Left Coast on the edge of the "Greece on the Pacific" (the formerly Golden State) as an Easterly Red Political Wave, mostly washed out on impact with the state, but still cause enough political havoc to lighten the Dark Blue Political Landscape, into shades of purple in some areas.
Thus, with no further delay, we bring you the Notes on the Post Election Scorecard (with respects to the late, great LA Sports Writer Allan Malamud), focusing on the winners and losers from yesterday's election proceedings.

While the rest of America is set to roll back the corrupt President Barack "H" Obama Collectivist Dependentcrat Agenda, the silent majority of "Greece on the Pacific's" (formerly the Golden State) Independent and Republican Voters can do its share, by growing the Republican Congressional Majority (for example, in the 33rd Congressional District) and dissolving the Super Majorities in Sacramento.
